First Vice Chairperson of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita De Sosoo, has said that her failure to receive a bribe from the wife of the founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings is the cause of her woes in the party.
Speaking on Accra-based Okay FM as monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com, the former Deputy Boss of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) claimed that Nana Konadu tried to bribe her so she could convinced some NDC women to vote for her (Nana Konadu).

“Nana Konadu is manipulating Rawlings. Rawlings of late does not attend NDC events but rather NPP. I am telling Nana Konadu that is it because of her bribe that I refused to take and prevailed upon the women in the NDC to vote against her candidature that is why she is angry with me?,” she quizzed.
Mrs. Rawlings, according to Madam De Sosoo, has been inciting her husband against some personalities in the NDC including herself.
Mr. Rawlings, she believes, is being manipulated by his wife, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, to destroy the NDC.
The former Ghanaian leader on Saturday, June 16, 2018, slammed Anita De Sosoo, exposing her as a “crook” that would do everything to get what she wants.
Mr. Rawlings said he regrets not telling De Sosoo in the face about her deeds when the latter knelt before him and begged for forgiveness on behalf of the NDC for its ‘sins’ during the 39th anniversary of the June 4 Uprising.
“Maybe sometimes I say the inappropriate things, I should have said it there and then [that she’s a crook]”, Mr. Rawlings lamented in a video which has gone viral.
The former first lady left the NDC to form the National Democratic Party (NDP) after delegates of the party failed to grant her the opportunity to lead the NDC into the 2012 elections.
It was during the run up to the Sunyani Congress that Anita claimed that Nana Konadu tried to bribe her to campaign for her.
According to Anita, she refused to accept the bribe then because she was convinced that Prof John Evans Atta Mills was the right person to lead the NDC into the elections.
She thus became the ‘enemy’ of Nana Konadu after she turned down the ‘bribe’ offer.
Nana Konadu, she said has since been inciting his husband, Jerry John Rawlings against her.
Anita was however hopeful that the machinations against her won’t survive.
