Road Transport fare was increased by 13% on June 5 which was a Saturday.
In an interview with some Ghanaians about the increased by 13% road transport fare ,Ghanaians appeal to government to reduce transport fare as well as fuel price.
In a press statement, the Ghana Private Roads Transport Union (GPRTU) revealed that the increase is to accommodate the increase in fuel prices announced in May 2021, after long negotiations with stakeholders.
The Covid-19 pandemic significantly curtailed Ghana’s economic growth. This has made a lot of people face financial challenges as they plead to government to reduce the transport fare.
