Who you are and what you decide to carry along into marriage is very critical.
On the day of your wedding, it’s important to note that the things that follows after you is not only your bridal train, but your past life, the way you talk, the way you display when angry, the way you handle money and a tall list of issues.
Some may be positive others negative, first thing you need to do is to unpack the issues that followed you including your past.
It may not be a one day job though but if you put your mind to it you can become better.
The Bible admonishes us in Romans:12.2:
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is– his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
It’s important to repack your bag based on the word of God. You have to apply the manual for marriage as described by God in the following scriptures:
Ephesians:5.22 – Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
Ephesians:5.23 – For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
Ephesians:5.28 – In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
Have you ever examined your current luggage as a Christian wife/ husband?…..
