The name of a vice chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita De Souzo has popped up as the one behind the numerous agitations by former caterers of the Ghana School Feeding Programme.
Anita, according to a jounalist with the New Crusading Guide Newspaer have held meetings with the former caterers and incited them to pile pressure on the Akufo-Addo administration to pay them arrears owed them by the government.
The journalist alleged further that Anita could do this because most of the former traders are members of the NDC.
Some of the former traders stormed the Gender Ministry yesterday to stage a demonstration demanding the payment of their arrears.
The traders clad in red had prior to the demonstration threatened a naked demonstration.
And the former Women’s Organiser of the NDC was said to have met with the mainly NDC cooks to impress upon them to stage protests across the country to make the government unpopular.
Godwin Asare Bediako, made this allegation on Oman FM’s Boiling Point on Tuesday.
He therefore called on the National security to be up and doing to avoid such embarrassments as according to him, the caterers are not owed that much.
