The President, Nana Akufo-Addo has reacted to the minority Member of Parliament (MPs) decision to walk out of Parliament prior to the delivery of his 2020 State of the Nation Address (SOTN).
The President before commencing the delivery of the SOTN said he was sure the MPs walked out to ‘prepare the way for the renewal of his mandate’
“It appears, the way is been prepared for the renewal of my mandate…,” Nana Akufo-Addo said in reaction to the action of the minority.
The Minority MPs walked out of Parliament boycotting the presentation of the 2020 SOTN.
The MPs who were mainly clad in black attire left the chamber after the President walked into the chamber.
The Minority MPs left the chamber singing ‘away away’ to signify their unpreparedness to watch the President deliver the address.
They left on their seats various placards expressing their grievances.
The placards were picked up and tore into pieces by a worker in the house.
