Television right holders of the nation’s flagship competition, Ghana Premier League are set to thrill football fanatics with a goal rush akin to the English Premier League.
According to the head of production for StarTimes, Philip Sitsofe Atsrim, his outfit have installed a rush technology system that will afford fans the thrill of watching goals been scored at various match centers as it happens.
“We have also included a goal rush technology system which will benefit our viewers to see what happens at other league centers as the Europeans do” he revealed to Kumasi-based media outlet OTEC FM.
The upcoming season is expected to run through till the weekend of July 16-18, 2021.
According to the Ghana Football Association, “Weekend matches may be played on Fridays, Saturday, Sundays or Monday while midweek matches may be played on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
“Matches may be played during mornings, mid-afternoons or evenings depending on kick-off times agreed with Television Partners, StarTimes.
“There may be double-headers at some match venues. Specific dates, time and for each match fixture would be announced after the Club License Board submits approved venues for the season.”
