Flagbearer aspirant and former General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwabena Agyei Agyapong says he does not believe in sloganeering.
Kwabena Agyei Agyapong says indicates that he believes in hard work and that should be what the government should be focused on in order to make life better for the people.
“I’m worried that we are in this economic decline. What’s imperative is that I’m all for supporting governance so that in 2024, the people of Ghana will be satisfied with our work and give us a third victory.”
“I don’t believe in sloganeering. I believe in hard work because that is what will make the people believe and have faith in us. When people are given positions they should work on their human relations skills.
Especially when the grassroots come to you. Some people want to just hear from you and ask how you are doing. They don’t need anything but what you say to them can make them happy. When I was Press Secretary, I run an open door policy and made room for everyone who came to see the President,” he said.
Kwabena Agyei Agyepong indicated that it’s imperative that the party touches base with grassroots so they do not feel detached from the political party citing how former President John Agyekum Kufour used to sit and eat with some party members just so he gets information on what’s happening at the constituency level.
