Mrs Evelyn Kumi Richardson, Bono Regional Minister, has said the Chairman of the Sunyani East branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has literally ‘killed’ her spirit with the show case of an ill minded poster that popped up at her official welcoming ceremony to the region.

Denying any knowledge about the origin of the said poster, she said it had only succeeded in diverting the attention of residents of the region from her plans to fast track its development.

Speaking on Issues on Ark FM, Mrs Kumi Richardson called for unity among members of the party to enable it to deliver on its promises to Ghanaians and to retain power in the 2020 general election.

The regional minister made the remarks following a press conference held by Mr Frank Musah Damtarl, chairman of the Sunyani East NPP last Sunday, April 21,2019 at which he admitted he sponsored the posters that were displayed at her welcoming ceremony.

On one of the posters Mr Kwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh, MP for the area, was accused of having issues with the Regional Minister and masterminding the delay of her approval by Parliament.

The inscriptions on the said poster said “Thank You Mr. President”, Thank You Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh”, “Konkonsa MP, Where are You?, Ayaaka MP where are you?, Continue to be in your hibernation!!! Your days are numbered, which was boldly captured with the pictures of the new Regional Minister.

Mr Damtarl though claimed sponsorship of the posters denied knowledge of the write up.

“There are a lot of frustrations in the NPP in the Sunyani East and it’s too much”, he added.

On his part Abubakari Yakubu, an aide to Mr Ameyaw Cheremeh, said the office of the MP would soon address the issue publicly.

“The MP surpasses such issues and I will like to call on the electorate who voted for the MP to exercise restraint as he will soon address the issue.

“I want to appeal to the Sunyani East chairman to stop such issues. Supposing I was the one I will have publicly voiced out issues happening in the party. The MP decided not to talk about such issues because he is a man of peace.

“The MP has been on the appointment committee for a long time and we all know his track record”, he stated.
