Supreme Court throws out EC; orders extension of nomination period

The Supreme Court has ordered the Electoral Commission (EC) to extend the nomination period for political parties to tomorrow, 8^th November, 2016.

The Apex Court also tasked the EC to invite all disqualified aspirants and afford them the chance to make necessary corrections.

The ruling was a unanimous decision by the 7-panel members presided over by Justice Sophia Adinyira.
