The President, Nana Akufo-Addo has expressed his sincerest thanks to Ghanaians who wished him well when he went into a 14-day quarantine after coming into contact with a COVID-19 positive patient.

The President was advised to go into quarantine after reports that some staff at the Jubilee House have tested positive for the disease.

Rumours had it that the President had been flown outside the country for treatment while in quarantine.

This rumours however proved to be untrue after the President emerged from quarantine at the end of the stipulated time to continue with his job.

The President while addressing the nation in a Sunday evening broadcast thanked Ghanaians for their prayers and the well wishes which he said contributed to his recovery.

“I thank Ghanaians for their prayers and well wishes after I was advised to go into mandatory quarantine by the health experts…,” he said at the beginning of their address.
