They were not given the real Astrazeneca Vaccine- Citizens react to President and Veep’s Vaccination injections
Some portions of Ghanaian social media users have reacted to COVID 19 vaccination injections received by President and Vice President of the Republic Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and Dr Bawumia, respectively live on the country’s television ( GTV).
The First and Second men of the State including their spouses, Rebecca Akufo Addo and Samira Bawumia, respectively were earlier at the 37 Millitary and Police Hospitals, respectively to receive their COVID 19 vaccines.
Citizens on social media reacting after the President and his Veep have been vaccinated, doubted if they were truly injected with the country’s already procured 600, 000 Astrazeneca COVID 19 vaccines.
Ghana on Wednesday 24th received its first batch of the Coronavirus vaccines through a UN-backed global vaccine sharing scheme , COVAX as part of efforts to enable equitable access to the jabs by low and middle- income countries.
The social media users questioned and wondered why the jabs given to the First and Second families were not shown on camera before they being administered to them.
Some suspected that a different medication was given to Mr Akufo Addo and his Veep including their spouses instead of the Astrazeneca COVID 19 vaccine.
According to them, they still don’t have faith and trust in the vaccine even though the First and Second men of the State have taken their shots on camera.
They held the view that President Akufo Addo and his wife were not given the jabs as was shown on the television following photos circulating online.
Some have therefore refused to make themselves available to be vaccinated, with others promising to take theirs if the President doesn’t develop any side effect within ten days.
