Two Police Officers have been interdicted for celebrating Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s winning goal against Accra Hearts of Oak during the Super Clash at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Week 6 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
According to information available to GhanaNewsPage.Com, the two officers were caught on camera busily celebrating the goal which saw the Porcupine Warriors beat their arch rivals in Accra.
Sports Journalist, Nuhu Adams claimed in Facebook post that the two officers were sanctioned after being caught on camera.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko beat their arch rivals in Accra following a late penalty kick that was converted by Naby Keita.
At the end of the game, Justice Blay was named as the Best player and received some prizes from NASCO.
The two officers who are believed to be staunch supporters of the Porcupine Warriors could not hide their joy as they joined in the celebration.
This act, according to the Police Service is against their code of ethics as the two are supposed to be neutral.
But many disagree with the Police Service, as they argue, the gentlemen apart from being security officials can also support their individual clubs.
