The former Black Stars ‘B’ attacker is set to make a switch to Europe in the next transfer, Ghananewspage.com can exclusively reveal.
The Ghana Premier League giants last Friday, August 7, 2020, announced via Twitter that they have severed ties with the attacker on the back of failed contract extension talks.
Former Accra Hearts of Oak forward Joseph Esso has emerged on the radar of clubs from Serbia ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old has become a top transfer target for several European clubs following his explosive output at the 2019 WAFU Cup staged in Senegal.
He played an instrumental role in Ghana’s campaign at the tournament where he scored two goals.
In the recently canceled Ghana Premier League season, Esso made 14 appearances for Hearts of Oak and managed to score 3 goals.
He joined Hearts of Oak on a two-year deal from fellow Ghana Premier League side Ebusua Dwarfs in 2018.
The 23-year-old who formerly played for Ebusua Dwarfs is now a free agent and reportedly likely to move to Europe before the summer transfer window shuts.
Esso is currently one of the highly-rated forwards in the Ghanaian top-flight league.
