Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has said that Galamsey allegations leveled against the National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye aka Nana B is false.
Speaking on Accra based Oman FM’s Boiling Point, the MP disclosed that a list of persons undertaking Galamsey given to him by a soldier captured the name of the Deputy Youth Organizer of Amenfi Central and upon interaction with him, the deputy youth organizer lied against Nana B to the effect that he paid money to Nana B in order to retrieve his confiscated excavator.
He said this caused him to name Nana B as one of the person’s involved in Galamsey.
In his quest to exonerate himself and establish his innocence, Nana B approached Kennedy Agyapong and suggested that they speak to the deputy youth organizer who made the allegations.
“When Nana B called him, he didn’t pick up. But the National Organizer, Sammi Awuku called him with his phone and also connected the Regional Youth Organizer. He (Sammi Awuku) informed them that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is also on the line and has asserted that you (deputy youth organizer) told him (Kennedy Agyapong) that you gave money to Nana B. He dropped the call immediately. He cut the line because what he said about Nana B were all lies,” Kennedy Agyapong explained.
This fresh information available in the public domain vindicates Nana B that he has never ever been involved in Galamsey and make “nonsense” of the call by the NDC’s National Youth Organizer for Nana B to be investigated and prosecuted.
