The founder and leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Rev Isaac Owusu-Bempah has been released by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
The man of God was released after a brief interrogation by the police.
Rev Owusu-Bempah who is noted for making several controversial prophecies was invited by the police following his recent prophecy that certain unknown persons were plotting to assassinate New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The plot to assassinate the septuagenarian, Rev Owusu-Bempah said at a press conference was hatched by persons who are not aligned to his cause and would be carried out in the Volta Region where he is currently on a 5-day campaign tour.
He however failed to name the persons behind the plot as according to him, ‘God didn’t name them.’
The police invited him to assist them in investigating the claims which they insisted has the potential of causing chaos in the country.
Several members of his church camped outside the premises of the CID Headquarters in solidarity with the Pastor who was into their offices to answer questions.
He was also accompanied by his Lawyers and other leaders of his church.
