The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dragged the Electoral Commission (EC) to court over the failure of the election management body to provide the biggest opposition party with the provisional voter roll being used for the ongoing exhibition exercise which ends on Friday, 20 September 2019.

The NDC argues that the EC has breached section 22 of Constitutional Instrument (CI) 94.

The NDC says it has detected attempts by the leadership of the EC to deny it the very essential document which will be used to determine the outcome of the general and parliamentary elections in 2020, hence the decision of the legal team to settle the issue in court.

The party made this known at a press conference in Accra on Thursday, 19 September 2019, which was addressed by its National Chairman Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo
