The Communication Director of Legon Cities has rejected reports that players are owed two months salaries.

Reports emerged on Tuesday afternoon that players of the club were owed two months salaries following the impact of COVID-19 on the club’s finances.

According to the reports, none of the club’s players has received their salaries.

“The management of Legon Cities wants to state emphatically that players of the club are not owed two months salaries as it’s been reported in the media. We therefore urge all to disregard such reports.”

The team, like the rest of the Ghana Premier League clubs, have been inactive following the halt of the topflight due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Legon Cities is one of the few clubs in the country who have an ultra-modern clubhouse and a well branded bus.
