The General Manager of Atwima Nwabiagya Rural Bank in the Ashanti Region, Mrs Helen Agyei Antwi has reiterated that the bank has fulfilled its cooperate social responsibility at it’s catchment despite the sudden outbreak of the global pandemic virus called Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.
According to her, the institution led by her has been able to support the communities in various ways including provision of roofing sheets to schools, distribution of beds for hospitals etc.
She made this known during the 32nd Annual General Meeting of the bank.
“We are at the peak and will overcome it soon. We are looking up to government to pay our locked up funds for us, so we can distribute dividend to our cherish shareholders.
“This pandemic has totally changed everything in the system, but God been so good we’re able to co-op in this hard times. We observe all the COVID-19 protocols here in all our banking sectors,” she added.
The MP for Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency, Benito Owusu Bio who was a guest of honour at the meeting applauded the bank for their eminent support to the constituency despite the banking crisis.
He further touted the achievements of the Akufo-Addo government.
“NPP government has done 115 projects within the Constituency which includes fixing of all the bad roads, construction of mechanized water facilities, building of school blocks and other developmental projects across the Constituency” he revealed.
He pleaded with the electorates to give him and the party another to chance to govern Ghana.
