Deputy National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Boahen has said that the party is ready to resist the compilation of a new voters register with the ‘last blood left in them’.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com, the NDC National Executive said the party will never allow the Electoral Commission (EC) to compile a new voter roll for the 2020 elections.

“We will resist this new voters register with our blood…we won’t allow the EC to in any way compile a new voter register, mark it…we will resist it with our blood…,” he said during the panel discussion monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com.

The NDC has been against the compilation of the new voters register by the EC. The party has organized several demonstrations and press conference to press home their demands.

The party insists that the EC has no basis for compiling a new voters’ register.

The NDC further alleges that the EC is in bed with the NPP and have the intention of helping the party win the 2020 elections; an allegation the EC has debunked.

“We will never allow Nana Addo with his age to destroy Ghana…what we are saying is let the EC try and we will see who is a man in Ghana here…,” he added.
