Will the Captain’s ‘killers’ make heaven?

Emotions are high. Almost everyone is raising a tongue against the slayers of the Captain. Dozens have already lynched them in their hearts and minds. Others are presenting a much stricter punishment for them. They killed a hero in an inhumane manner. Their cup is full.

The devil that came to inhabit them to do the unthinkable has long left. He sits somewhere and laughs as he watches them suffer and be at the receiving end of tongue lashing and condemnation. The sin of shedding blood weighs heavily on them. From different locations, they are assembled to face Justice.

They’ve slain an innocent soul. A nation weeps and the family is comforted. May his soul rest in peace, many have said with dozens praying the Lord to grant him rest in his Bossom. But will this happen?

According to the Bible, men will be judged according to the laid down order for salvation with the first being accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior. Then the deeds will come next. We may all be weeping for a loved one and wish him the best in the after life. But it will be in accordance with the procedures in the Bible.

The alleged killers have their sins weighing heavily on them. Will they make it to heaven is the biggest question. There’s one surety for them which is confession. Yes, 1 John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, he’s faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. They can come to the saving grace of God. That is the surety for all of us sinners.

The interesting thing is that these killers may come to the saving grace of God and repent of the sins. The punishment of killing will weigh on them in present world but they can be assured of salvation in the after life.

Surprisingly, some of us condemning them are like them. We have our sins weighing heavily on us. But we can also come to the saving grace of God by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior. It is as simple as that.

    Just pray that:

Dear God, I know I am a sinner and not worthy to be called a son. Today, I repent of my sins and would go back to them no more. I accept your son Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Savior. Please forgive me of my sins and write my name in the book of life so I will be saved on your second coming. Amen

    Congratulations…
