Xenophobic attacks: Ghana’s High Commission in South Africa WARNS Ghanaians

Ghana’s High Commission in South Africa has advised Ghanaians in South Africa to restrict their movements to safe places in the country.

The High Commission in a statement said individual groups have announced of plans to remove and rusticate foreigners occupying positions out of the country.

The statement said some of these actions mostly turn violent so it’s imperative that Ghanaians living in South Africa restrict their movement into safe areas.

It also advised that the High Commission is contacted in case of any emergency.

This is not the first time foreigners are going to suffer at the hands of native South Africans who think they have taken jobs from them. These xenophobic attacks happen in South Africa from time to time.
