Host of Peace FM’s flagship program, Kokrokoo, Kwame Sefa Kayi, has revealed that he smokes cigarette.

The celebrated broadcaster revealed on Personality profile on Joy FM as monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com that he smokes sticks of cigarette and not ‘wee’ as many believe.

“No, I don’t smoke weed, I smoke cigarettes…,” he said.

This revelation brings to an end speculations that the reverred broadcaster smokes weed hence his love for the legalisation of the illicit substance.

Sefa Kayi and veteran Journalist, Kwesi Pratt Jnr have been at the fore front of the campaign for the legalisation of weed.

The two have argued that legalisation and exportation of the substance will help boost the country’s economy.

“It is good in the drug market, it is good for hair creams, good for body creams…the USA that legalized it is making lots of money out of it,” Pratt had said.

The veteran journalist said this while commenting on a story published by Bloomberg that Coca-Cola wants to enter the cannabis sector because soft drinks are becoming increasingly unpopular as they are seen as unhealthy.

According to the report which was also published on GhanaNewsPage.Comthe negotiations between the companies said: ‘They’re pretty advanced down the path of doing a deal. ‘It’s going to be more of the “recovery drink” category.’

The drinks will be more about helping consumers with inflammation, pain and cramping and not about getting drinkers high, sources told Bloomberg.

There have been varied reactions to their calls.
