Renowned gospel musician Nana Yaw Asare has sparked conversation with his firm stance against public figures using social media to ask for financial assistance when they face hardships.

Appearing as a panelist and guest performer on UTV’s ‘United Showbiz’ on Saturday, September 9, 2024, Nana Yaw Asare did not mince words as he declared that such behavior was completely inappropriate.

During the discussion, Nana Yaw Asare, the singer behind the popular gospel hit “Ɔdomankoma” , emphasized that celebrities in the entertainment industry must not make it a habit to come on social media to beg for financial help when they go broke.

He explained that while some situations might warrant public support, like in cases of illness or unfortunate accidents, general financial difficulties should not be addressed through public platforms.

He was, however, quick to clarify that he holds no objection to private requests for help. “If someone seeks assistance in private, that’s different—it becomes an issue between just two people,” he said.

Nana Yaw Asare went on to explain that his stance is rooted in his faith and conviction that God created human beings to live with dignity and not to publicly beg for financial support.

He firmly expressed his belief that if public figures managed their finances and relied on God’s provision, they would not need to resort to such actions.
