Bawumia visits Italy and Vatican City

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia departed Ghana has left Ghana for a working visit to the Republic of Italy and the Vatican State.

A statement issued and signed by the , aimed at strengthening the enduring relations between Ghana, Italy, and the Vatican State. This was contained in a statement issued by Gideon Boako, Ph.D. Spokesperson to the Vice President.

During his visit, Dr. Bawumia is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with high-ranking officials, including a meeting with His Holiness Pope Francis. The Pope’s message of love, mercy, and inclusion has resonated globally, and the meeting will highlight shared principles of peace, justice, and solidarity to guide us towards a better future.

The Vice President was accompanied by some government officials and is expected to return to Ghana on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

This diplomatic visit is part of Dr. Bawumia’s efforts to strengthen connections with the global community and promote Ghana’s interests abroad.
