A “Minnesota-based Liberian underground musician”, “Wesley Benedict Koboi”, popularly known as “Wesofeeso,” is “allegedly wanted for the murder” of the mother of his children and is currently believed to be “on the run”.
According to multiple Minnesota news outlets, Koboi is accused of “fatally shooting his children’s mother, Shaniya Thompson”, following a domestic dispute. Authorities say the incident occurred on “December 11”.
Reports indicate that after the alleged shooting, Koboi “took their five children”, drove to “Michigan”, left the children with his mother, then traveled to the “Canadian border”, where he “crossed into Canada on foot” before allegedly boarding a flight to “Mexico”.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that Koboi was employed as a “security guard with Brinks”, a position that reportedly allowed him to legally carry a firearm at the time.
Police say the victim was discovered deceased when officers responded to the scene after “one of the children alerted authorities”. A “warrant for murder” has since been issued, and U.S. law enforcement is “working with Mexican authorities” to locate and apprehend the suspect.

Shaniya Thompson’s sister, “Shayna Jason”, shared the following message:
“On December 11th, my sister, Shaniya Thompson, was tragically and senselessly taken from us after being shot by her children’s father. He came into her home bearing gifts for my niece’s birthday, all while allegedly planning to kill her.
Her five children witnessed the unthinkable and are now left grieving their mother while coping with unimaginable trauma. Our family is heartbroken and overwhelmed. We are asking for help with funeral expenses and support for the children as they begin the long journey of healing.”
The family is requesting “prayers, financial support, and the sharing of their story” to help cover memorial costs and provide care and counseling for the children.
