Abu Trica Appears Downcast as Gbese High Court Orders Extradition to US

Abu Trica Extradition

Videos and photos of Ghanaian socialite and businessman Abu Trica looking visibly downcast have taken over social media following the latest ruling by the Gbese High Court.

On Friday, March 27, 2026, the court ordered that Abu Trica be handed over to United States authorities to begin extradition proceedings, marking a major development in the high-profile case that has attracted nationwide attention.

Although the ruling clears the way for his transfer to the United States, the court granted his legal team 15 days to file documents to challenge the decision. This window allows his lawyers to contest the extradition order through legal procedures before any final action is taken.

The court also dismissed an application filed by his legal representatives, who argued that his arrest and detention were politically motivated. The judge ruled that the claim lacked sufficient legal merit and could not stop the extradition process.

Shortly after the court session, videos circulating on social media showed Abu Trica in handcuffs, dressed in a black T-shirt and shorts, quietly leaving the court premises under police escort. His downcast expression reflected the seriousness of the situation as officers led him away.
