Brooklyn Beckham Removes Tattoo Tribute to David Beckham Amid Family Feud

Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly removed a tattoo that was believed to be a tribute to his father, football legend David Beckham, amid ongoing tensions within the famous Beckham family.

The 26-year-old, son of Sir David, 50, and Victoria Beckham, 51, has made headlines days after publicly stating he did not wish to reconcile with his parents.

Brooklyn’s large anchor tattoo on his upper right arm, which previously carried the word “dad” along with the message “Love you Bust”, David’s affectionate nickname for his eldest son, appears to have been lasered off.

New photos obtained by The Sun suggest the tattoo has been redesigned to show just three nondescript shapes across the anchor.

Celebrity tattoo artist Claudio Traina, founder of Sixty Ink, commented on the decision: “Family tribute tattoos are usually done with a lot of emotion and meaning, so covering one up is never a casual decision. While it is quite common for people to remove or cover up a partner’s name, it is very rare to see someone want a family tribute removed.

“Partners may come and go, but you are born with your family, which is why these tattoos are normally seen as permanent in a different way. When they are removed, it often points to deep personal hurt or a major change in the relationship rather than regret over the tattoo itself. From a tattooist’s point of view, people do not go through laser removal or cover-ups lightly. It usually mirrors what is going on emotionally beneath the surface.”

The Beckham family feud became fully public last month when Brooklyn shared a six-page statement on Instagram detailing his and wife Nicola Peltz’s absence from key family events last year, including his father’s 50th birthday and knighthood. He alleged incidents involving “bribery” and claims that his mother had “humiliated” him at his 2022 wedding.

Nicola’s father, billionaire Nelson Peltz, addressed the situation at the WSJD Invest Live event in West Palm Beach, Florida. “My daughter and the Beckhams are a whole other story and that’s not for coverage here today,” he said.

He added praise for the couple, saying, “But I’ll tell you my daughter is great, my son-in-law Brooklyn is great and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together.” When asked if he had offered advice to the couple on navigating family tensions, he responded, “I do. Sometimes they give me advice.”
