Chelsea confirmed on Monday, February 2, that three transfer deals were finalized before the window closed. Joel Philbert has completed a permanent move to Tottenham Hotspur. The 19-year-old joined Chelsea’s academy in 2023 and progressed through the youth ranks before sealing the transfer.
David Fofana will spend the rest of the season on loan at Strasbourg. The 22-year-old Ivory Coast international signed for Chelsea from Molde in January 2023 and previously spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Goztepe in Turkey.
Aaron Anselmino also joins Strasbourg on loan for the remainder of the campaign. The defender, who started the season on loan at Borussia Dortmund and made ten appearances, joined Chelsea from Boca Juniors in August 2024.
Chelsea expressed gratitude to all three players for their contributions and wished them success at their new clubs.
