Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly dealing with some frustration among his staff as a few employees and associates have raised concerns about delayed payments while he serves his federal prison sentence. His representatives, however, insist that everything is under control.
Sources told TMZ that Combs’ finances are currently being managed by Tri Star Sports & Entertainment. The firm is exercising strict oversight of his money, which some staff members say feels too tight.
According to these sources, a few lawyers handling Combs’ civil lawsuits and other employees have reportedly gone unpaid, and at least one person has resigned as a result.
Combs’ representative, Juda Engelmayer, strongly denied the claims:
“People, personnel, and attorneys are all being paid, and no one is leaving.”
On the timing of payments, Engelmayer added:
“Sean Combs controls his own finances. Everyone gets paid for their work once it’s completed and confirmed, after routine review.”
Sources also say that Combs’ family does not have unrestricted access to his funds. They reportedly operate under a fixed budget approved by Tri Star, and any expenses above that require submitted invoices, which are not always approved. One example cited involved a family dinner in New York City the night before Diddy’s sentencing. Tri Star initially asked for an invoice before approving the expense, which was later reimbursed.
Diddy is currently serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal prison in New Jersey, following his conviction on two Mann Act violations. Despite being incarcerated, he remains in frequent contact with his family and even received a visit from his son, Justin, on Christmas Day.
