Ghanaian Man Reportedly Dies by Suicide in Denmark After DNA Test Revelation

Tragedy has been reported within the Ghanaian community in Europe following the death of a Ghanaian man in Denmark under distressing circumstances linked to a family dispute.

The man, identified as Benjamin Offei, is said to have taken his own life in Copenhagen after allegedly receiving DNA test results indicating that the four children he had raised during his marriage were not biologically his.

The incident came to public attention after a Germany-based acquaintance, Bmm Swerdna, shared the news in a Facebook post on Sunday, February 1, 2026. According to the post, Offei was found dead in his garage in the Danish capital.

“My friend Benjamin Offei who found out in a DNA test that all 4 children are not his children in his 19 years relationship with his Ghanaian wife has committed su!cide in his garage in Copenhagen,” he wrote.

Sources indicate that Offei and his wife were together for about 10 years before marrying and later raising four children over the course of their long relationship. The DNA results reportedly came as a devastating emotional blow, though the exact timeline surrounding the test and the events that followed has not been officially detailed.
