Judge Grants Taylor Frankie Paul Supervised Visits with Young Son

A Utah judge has ruled that reality star Taylor Frankie Paul can have supervised visits with her two-year-old son after weeks of heated legal battles with her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.

The decision came after a court hearing on Tuesday, where Paul was granted up to eight hours of supervised visitation per week with their son, Ever.

The visits can be split into shorter sessions and will continue until a full protective order hearing on April 30.Paul and Mortensen, who have had a turbulent on-and-off relationship since her divorce from Tate Paul in 2022, both appeared remotely for the hearing.

Temporary custody of their son had been given to Mortensen last month, leaving Paul without custody until now.The judge expressed concerns about both sides during the proceedings, noting that Mortensen appeared to be “pushing buttons” to provoke reactions. However, the court decided supervised visits were the safest option for the child while the situation is sorted out.

This latest ruling stems from ongoing domestic disputes.

Both Paul and Mortensen have filed protective orders against each other. Paul recently submitted documents alleging physical violence by Mortensen, including photos of bruises on her arms, legs, and face, along with claims of harassment involving text messages and a tattoo of her initials on his lip.

Authorities have been investigating domestic violence reports from both sides dating back to February.

This is separate from a much-publicised 2023 incident involving Paul and Mortensen that led to her arrest on domestic violence charges. Video from that altercation resurfaced recently, showing Paul throwing chairs and hitting Mortensen while their daughter was present.

That video caused major fallout for Paul’s career.

ABC cancelled her upcoming season of The Bachelorette shortly after it leaked, and her role in another reality show was also edited out.Paul, best known for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, has described years of struggling with abuse and fear of retaliation.

In a statement after the cancellation, she said she is now focused on protecting herself and her children while finding the strength to move forward.

The case continues to unfold in court, with both parties under scrutiny as investigations into the allegations remain active. For now, Paul will be able to see her son under supervision as the legal process plays out.
