President John Dramani Mahama’s state visit to Zambia drew public attention after he swiftly prevented a woman from falling during a high-level business event in Lusaka.
The incident occurred at the Zambia–Ghana Business Dialogue when an unidentified or woman nearly slipped while climbing the stage. Mahama, who was on the dais, quickly ensured she was supported, averting what could have been a serious fall. The business dialogue, co-chaired by Mahama and Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema, focused on strengthening economic cooperation, with Ghana showcasing its digital technology and fintech solutions.
As part of the three-day visit, Mahama also met with the Ghanaian community in Lusaka and addressed Zambia’s National Assembly, reaffirming the longstanding ties between Ghana and Zambia rooted in the leadership of Kwame Nkrumah and Kenneth Kaunda.
