A tragic and shocking attack has left four young children dead after a man armed with a machete stormed a nursery school in Kampala, Uganda.
The incident occurred on Thursday at the Gaba Early Childhood Development Program. According to reports, the attacker disguised himself as a parent and first entered the school offices, where he spoke briefly with the administrator.
He then stepped out, locked the gate to prevent anyone from escaping or entering, and began attacking the children one by one with a sharp object. Police confirmed that at least four children were killed in the assault.
The suspect was quickly arrested at the scene. So far, the motive behind the attack remains unknown.
This kind of violence is extremely rare in Kampala, a bustling city of about three million people.
