The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially confirmed that the draw for the 2026 CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers will be held today in Rabat, Morocco.
The qualification journey will be decided through two knockout rounds played on a home-and-away basis, with seven teams earning tickets to the final tournament. These seven sides will join host nation Morocco at the 2026 CAF Futsal AFCON finals.
In total, 17 African countries will battle for qualification. The nations involved are Algeria, Angola, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Libya, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia, South Sudan, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Beyond continental glory, the stakes are even higher, as the tournament will also serve as Africa’s qualification pathway to the 2026 FIFA Futsal World Cup, making the qualifiers highly competitive.
Morocco head into the competition as the team to beat. The North African nation has hosted and won the last two editions of the men’s Futsal AFCON. They claimed the title in Laayoune in 2020, delivering a commanding 5–0 victory over Egypt in the final. Morocco went on to defend their crown on home soil again in Rabat in 2024, where they defeated Angola 5–1 to lift the trophy.
