Businessman Olakunle Churchill has shared an emotional update after reuniting with his first son, King Andre, years after a highly publicised custody dispute with his ex-wife, actress Tonto Dikeh.
The reunion comes after both parents recently reached an understanding to peacefully co-parent their son. Photos from the meeting, which Churchill shared on Instagram, showed him spending time with King Andre for the first time in years. The meeting was facilitated by clergyman Pastor Jerry Eze, who is also the child’s godfather.
Expressing gratitude and relief, Churchill said the moment marked a turning point in his life, describing the reunion as deeply fulfilling and spiritually significant. He also acknowledged the role played by Tonto Dikeh in raising their son during the years they were apart.
His post reads
“After many years, my eyes have finally met my son and my heart is full.
Thank you, Pastor Jerry Eze, a true servant of God and my son’s godfather. God is clearly using you in this generation. Your words, your counsel, your leadership is true, God speaks through you. I am deeply grateful for the covering, guidance and love you’ve shown my son. Again, what God cannot do does not exist.
Seeing My dear son, growing well, God-fearing, disciplined, and well care of fills me with pride and peace. His mother has done an incredible job raising him with love and intention. For that, I commend her greatly.
Today, I stand as a proud father.
Grateful. Restored. Humbled.
God is always faithful.”
The development has drawn warm reactions online, with many praising both parents for choosing peace and putting their child’s wellbeing first after years of public tension.
