A Ghanaian prophet known as Prophet Fire Oja has linked the recent poor performances of the Black Stars to spiritual attacks, claiming that these unseen forces are preventing the team from achieving any major victories.
In a Facebook post, Fire Oja boldly stated that Ghana’s senior national team cannot win any trophy unless they follow his spiritual guidance. He believes he holds the “keys” that can break the alleged spiritual barriers currently affecting the team’s success.
“I have the keys 🔑 to support Black Stars but Ghanaians didn’t treat me well. The team is under spiritual attacks and they can never win any trophy 🏆 until they obey me,” the prophet, also known as Prophet Henry, shared in his post.

His comments followed Ghana’s 2-0 defeat to Sudan in a 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier match, played in Libya on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. The loss added to the growing concerns and frustrations among fans and analysts about the team’s recent form.
Fire Oja, while insisting he could be the solution to the Black Stars’ challenges, also expressed disappointment over how he had been treated by Ghanaians. He suggested that his spiritual interventions have been ignored, which, in his view, is contributing to the team’s ongoing struggles.
