Raheem Sterling is set to leave Chelsea in the coming days as talks between the club and the player’s representatives move closer to a resolution.
Chelsea have made it clear they are prepared to allow the England international depart, with both parties keen to finalise an agreement before Monday. Discussions are ongoing as Sterling waits to complete his move once all terms are agreed.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the situation is progressing, revealing that Sterling is ready to make his exit as negotiations continue.
“Raheem Sterling is expected to leave Chelsea in the next days and is ready to make his move soon. Chelsea and Sterling’s camp are in contact to find a solution before Monday, as Chelsea are prepared to let him leave. Talks are underway between parties,” Romano wrote on X.
Sterling joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022 and has featured regularly in the club’s attack in previous seasons. However, his future at Stamford Bridge has remained uncertain amid limited opportunities and changes within the squad.
The winger has been linked with several potential destinations as he looks to secure regular playing time. Reports indicate that Sterling has not featured in a match this season and was forced to train separately after failing to complete a move away from Chelsea before the August 2025 transfer deadline.
With Chelsea now open to his departure, all signs point to Sterling finally ending his time at the club once the ongoing talks are concluded.
