Spain have officially selected Chattanooga, Tennessee, as their base camp for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Spanish Football Federation has confirmed.
The European champions will use the southern US city as their team headquarters throughout the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Chattanooga is located about two hours from Atlanta, where Spain are scheduled to play two of their group-stage matches.
According to the federation, head coach Luis de la Fuente and his squad will stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Chattanooga Downtown, while training sessions will be held at the Baylor School’s sports facilities, which meet FIFA’s tournament standards.
Spain will begin their Group H campaign against Cape Verde on June 15 in Atlanta, before facing Saudi Arabia at the same venue on June 21. Their final group match will be against two-time world champions Uruguay, set to take place in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Currently ranked number one in the world by FIFA, Spain head into the 2026 World Cup as one of the tournament favourites, hoping to add a second global title to the one they won in South Africa in 2010. The competition runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
