Billionaire’s daughter Temi Otedola and Nigerian singer Mr Eazi have opened up about the intense pressure, disagreements and emotional strain they faced while planning their destination weddings.
The couple revealed that organising three weddings across three different countries within just three months was far more overwhelming than they ever imagined. What many saw as a glamorous celebration came with serious stress behind the scenes.
According to Temi and Mr Eazi, the fast pace of planning one event after another quickly became exhausting.
“Three weddings in three months is insane,”
they admitted, describing the experience as emotionally and physically draining.
Temi shared that their original plan was to keep things simple with a quiet court wedding in Nigeria. However, concerns about privacy soon surfaced.
“If we went to the courthouse in Nigeria, it wouldn’t be as private as we wanted,”
she explained.
At one point, an alternative idea was suggested: bringing court officials into their living room for a private civil ceremony. While Temi found the concept appealing, Mr Eazi was not entirely convinced, leading to further back and forth between the couple.
That disagreement sent them back to the drawing board.
Eventually, they settled on Monaco for their civil wedding, a decision Temi described as deeply sentimental. The United Kingdom was also considered, but she admitted it did not feel personal enough for her.
Beyond the emotional debates and location choices, Temi said what surprised her the most was the amount of paperwork involved in getting married.
Mr. Eazi said he thought getting married was just deciding and signing papers, he didn’t know there was a mountain of administration.
Despite the stress, disagreements and overwhelming logistics, the couple said the experience taught them valuable lessons about compromise, communication and patience.
Their candid reflection offers a rare glimpse into the realities behind high-profile weddings, reminding fans that even the most glamorous celebrations come with their own challenges.
