the outspoken artiste has declared that the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) was “lucky” they didn’t try to arrest him during the high-profile investigation into his flashy yellow Lamborghini

Speaking during a recent performance at the Gomoa Easter Carnival on April 7, Shatta Wale opened up about the tense encounter, telling fans he deliberately chooses peace over chaos.“They stormed my house… Later they accused me of fraud.

They’re lucky they didn’t arrest me,” he said, leaving the crowd buzzing.The drama kicked off in August 2025 when EOCO, working with the FBI, seized the 2019 Lamborghini Urus from Shatta Wale’s residence in Accra.

The car was linked to a major US fraud case involving another Ghanaian, Nana Kwabena Amuah, who is currently serving time in America for financial crimes.

Authorities suspected the luxury vehicle may have been purchased with proceeds from that criminal enterprise.Shatta Wale was invited for questioning, granted bail, and has maintained his innocence throughout, insisting he bought the car legitimately.

The vehicle was eventually returned after investigations, but the experience clearly left a sour taste.Even months later, the “Smash” hitmaker says the whole episode damaged his brand and reputation both in Ghana and internationally.
