Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu briefly stumbled during a ceremonial march-past at a guard of honour in Türkiye on Tuesday, drawing momentary attention before the event continued smoothly.
The visit seeks to strengthen Nigeria-Türkiye ties and explore new areas of cooperation. President Tinubu is scheduled to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to discuss trade, security, investment, and regional collaboration.
Several memoranda of understanding are expected to be signed, and a business forum will connect Nigerian and Turkish investors to boost economic opportunities. Senior Nigerian officials present included Attorney-General Lateef Fagbemi, Finance Minister Wale Edun, Defence Minister General Christopher Musa, and Minister of Solid Minerals Dele Alake.
