Public attention surrounding Brooklyn Beckham’s strained relationship with his parents has drawn fresh reactions from someone who witnessed one of the family’s most intimate moments up close his wedding.

Celebrity wedding planner Preston Bailey, who worked with Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz for nearly a year ahead of their 2022 wedding, has said he was surprised by the recent public fallout between Brooklyn and his famous parents. According to Bailey, there were no visible signs of tension during the planning process.
Bailey explained that his experience working with Brooklyn does not align with the claims now circulating amid the reported family rift

He described Brooklyn as a calm, polite and engaged groom who took an active role in the planning and approval of wedding details. Bailey noted that throughout the process, there were no moments that suggested unresolved family conflict behind the scenes.
The wedding planner also addressed rumours suggesting Nicola Peltz exerted excessive control over the event.

Bailey said decisions were often presented to Nicola, but Brooklyn’s approval remained essential. According to him, Nicola would not proceed with any final choice without Brooklyn’s agreement, and he observed affection and mutual respect between the couple rather than tension or dominance.
Bailey, who has organised weddings for prominent figures including Donald and Melania Trump as well as Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, said his interactions with the couple were consistently professional and positive. Planning sessions were conducted mainly via Zoom and at the Peltz family home in Palm Beach, and he confirmed that he had no direct involvement with David or Victoria Beckham during that period.

He added that the overall atmosphere during the wedding planning and related events was calm and collaborative, with guests and family members appearing comfortable and united in public settings.
Bailey stepped away from the wedding about 11 months into the planning process due to scheduling conflicts but remained involved in organising the couple’s engagement party. He has previously spoken warmly about the Peltz family, describing them as welcoming and pleasant to work with.
Brooklyn has since said he does not wish to reconcile with his parents, accusing them of disagreements related to wedding arrangements such as the first dance, attire and legal matters. Sources close to the Beckham family say David and Victoria Beckham are deeply concerned about the situation and fear losing their relationship with their son, while others suggest reconciliation may depend on changing circumstances.

Despite the controversy, Bailey insists that during the wedding planning period, everything appeared peaceful and cooperative.
“There was never any tension,” he said.
