President John Dramani Mahama is taking Ghana’s economic pitch beyond borders, with a planned Ghana–Zambia Business Dialogue set to headline his three-day State Visit to Zambia from February 4 to 6, 2026.
He will co-chair the forum with Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema, bringing together business leaders and government officials from both countries to explore new areas of cooperation. Ghana is expected to highlight its advances in digital innovation and fintech, positioning itself as a regional partner in technology-driven growth.
The Presidency says the visit reflects Mahama’s broader vision for African economic integration. A vocal supporter of the African Continental Free Trade Area, he continues to push for faster implementation of the agreement, which he believes is essential for job creation, youth empowerment, and building stronger African economies that can compete globally.
Before arriving in Zambia, Mahama will make a stop in Dubai after receiving an invitation from the Ruler of the United Arab Emirates. He is scheduled to attend the World Governments Summit 2026 from February 2 to 4, where global leaders will discuss governance, innovation, and the future of public policy.
President Mahama and his delegation will travel on a special aircraft provided by the UAE Ruler, which will also transport them directly from Dubai to Zambia for the State Visit.
