The fight against local narcotics and street crimes has received a massive boost in the Ashanti Region. The Mankranso District Police Command has successfully arrested four suspected drug peddlers during a highly coordinated, intelligence-led raid.
The successful anti-crime sweep took place during the early morning hours of Friday, June 26, 2026, within the Kunsu Township. This strategic sweep forms part of the ongoing national campaign by the Ghana Police Service to permanently crush illicit drug trafficking across our neighborhoods.

In an official security statement released on Monday, June 29, 2026, the police administration disclosed the true identities of the individuals in custody. The arrested young men are Issaka Musah who is twenty-two years old, Amankwah Emmanuel who is twenty-five, Kwame Boateng who is thirty-two, and Appiah Prince who is twenty-three.
During the swift house search operations, officers retrieved a dangerous locally manufactured pistol loaded with two BB rounds of live ammunition. Finding loaded firearms in a quiet residential area explains why the state is moving aggressively to protect local citizens before situations turn bloody.

Beyond the illegal weapon, the police team uncovered a massive warehouse of highly dangerous pharmaceuticals and hard substances. The seized items include huge quantities of high-dosage Tramadol capsules, illegal red capsules, and several wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
The security operatives also confiscated a mysterious whitish powdery substance strongly believed to be high-grade cocaine, alongside an amount of five thousand six hundred and forty-seven Ghana Cedis and forty pesewas. The state authorities suspect this huge amount of raw cash represents direct financial proceeds from the illegal local drug market.

Preliminary police interrogations indicate that the four suspects have allegedly admitted full ownership of the seized narcotics and firearms. The young men are currently sitting inside police cells, assisting detectives with complex investigation processes, and will face a formal court trial very soon.
The Ghana Police Service remains completely resolute in its nationwide battle against organized crime structures and harmful drug cartels. Security officials are urging ordinary citizens to keep supporting local stations by whispering timely and credible information to protect the future of Ghanaian youth.
