Cameroon, formerly recognized for its serenity and beauty is today going through chaos after elections. President Paul Biya who is one of Africa’s longest-serving president and oldest leader was pronounced the winner again, prompted outrage and turmoil throughout Cameroon.

The youth are on the streets of major cities, raising their voices in protest rather than happiness. Many people are saying they did not vote for due to bad Governance and leadership and so they did not understand how he was able to immerge as the winner. This has brought sadness instead of happiness after elections in Cameroon.
the condition and current state of the country now is from Yaoundé to Douala, and the local people in the towns and villages. for days day it has been shooting and distraction from people on the streets and a banter between the youth and the police. Nobody is going, nobody is coming, and no business are operating just as most shops are closed, the new and situation in the country is spreading fast on social media.

The youth are now angry and demanding that they want a new leadership because they are tire of what is going on in the country, they are speaking up because they are the major population in the country and the unemployment rate is very high. Do development and proper system to help the youth to be able to do something for themselves.
Paul Biya has been the president of Cameroon for decades; they have been through so many crises including war but still no change and development as a country. The youth feel they have been neglected and unattended to for so many years and this is the time to make that change. The leaders are too busy on themselves and are building system that no longer reflects their dreams.

Some see what is unfolding as a “nation crying for renewal.” Others just call it a “wake-up call.” In any case, the message is clear: the people want a government that is more in touch with their lives—not remote in power and luxury as they deal with rising prices, bad infrastructure, and a lack of jobs.
The current situation in Cameroon is very bad. The violence is spreading everywhere as the police are also attacking the youth to stop them from the chaos. People and concern about this because they expect the youth to remember what wars have done to nations, they also praying that this does not turn to another thing. Many want their peace and to be able to go out to their businesses and find their daily bread and the same time other to choose justice over fear.
Cameroon is a beautiful country why should this happen, results of bad leadership and accountability. Is Africa realizing that it needs to grow in unity??
