Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed the signing of promising young forward Elisha Sowunmi from West Ham United in a deal whose terms were not disclosed.
The transfer ends a decade-long journey for Sowunmi at West Ham, where he rose through the club’s youth academy. Known for his versatility, he can operate on the wings or in a central attacking role.
Sowunmi made a significant impact last season as West Ham’s Under-18s top scorer, including memorable hat-tricks against Reading and Aston Villa. He also played a pivotal role in helping the team secure the Under-18 Premier League Cup.
The move comes just six months after Sowunmi signed his first professional contract with West Ham, marking a swift rise in his young career.
Expressing his excitement about the transfer, Sowunmi said, “I’m really excited to be here. I know a lot about the club from playing against them over the years. It’s a great club with a lot of history, so I’m really, really excited to be here.”
Spurs fans will be hoping Sowunmi can bring his pace, creativity, and goal-scoring talent to their attacking line-up as he begins this new chapter.
