The family of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo alongside the leadership of the Kristo Asafo Mission have expressed deep gratitude to Ghanaians for their massive support throughout the funeral rites of the iconic industrialist and spiritual leader.
Speaking on behalf of the family, the late Apostle’s daughter, Sarah Adwoa Safo, delivered an emotional message of appreciation during a national thanksgiving service held at the Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi.
She commended citizens, traditional authorities, religious groups, and public institutions for standing firmly with the Kantanka family during their time of grief. She noted that the overwhelming solidarity across the country brought tremendous comfort to the family and helped give the late legend a glorious home call.
The solemn service attracted high profile dignitaries including New Patriotic Party flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who described Apostle Safo as a father figure and trusted mentor. Bawumia praised the late inventor for his legendary belief in African self-reliance, innovation, and technological development.
A memorable highlight of the ceremony occurred when a bright rainbow appeared across the Kumasi sky. Worshippers greeted the celestial sight with prayers and cheers, viewing it as a symbolic blessing that marked a peaceful end to the Apostle’s earthly journey.
The thanksgiving service brought the official funeral rites to a joyful close, uniting thousands in celebration of a visionary whose inventions, faith, and philanthropy transformed Ghana.
