Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has announced a massive financial package for GPL teams. Speaking at the thirty second Ordinary Congress in Prampram, he confirmed that all eighteen clubs will receive one million cedis each. This timely intervention aims to strengthen club finances before the 2026/27 football season kicks off in September.

The GPL competition stakes will also rise significantly as the ultimate league champion walks away with three million cedis. Total prize money across the participating teams will hit nine point five million cedis under a fresh commercial partnership. Adesa Productions Limited will power this new marketing strategy to unlock better broadcast revenues and sponsorship deals.

Administrators expect clubs to channel these funds directly into player welfare and proper operational structures. Improved financial health translates to better match quality and greater competitiveness on the African continent. Fans can genuinely look forward to an exciting and well resourced football campaign starting very soon.
