Ghana News Page had the opportunity to interview HOTWAV Brand and Sales Manager Mr. Henry and his team during Shatta Fest 2026 at the Accra Sports Stadium where HOTWAV team showcased its mobile devices and gave festival attendees an opportunity to learn about the brand’s products. Visitors could view the smartphones, ask questions and explore the features available across different models.

During the interview, Mr. Henry and his team revealed the phones’ performance, battery capacity, camera capabilities, design, storage options and other specifications. The conversation provides customers with first-hand insights from the team representing the brand.

HOTWAV serves different categories of users through its smartphone and tablet range. Its A-series models are aimed at everyday smartphone users, while the Cyber series focuses on rugged smartphones for users who need extra protection in challenging environments.

The company’s tablets also provide larger screens for studying, reading, watching videos and other activities.

Through its partnership with CompuGhana and its product exhibitions, HOTWAV is working to introduce its devices to a wider audience in Ghana. These efforts provide opportunities for consumers to learn about the brand’s smartphones and tablets, explore their features and discover options that suit their needs and budgets.

The HOTWAV Cyber 18 is among the company’s rugged smartphone models. It combines a durable design with modern smartphone features for users who spend time outdoors or work in demanding environments.

According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the Cyber 18 has IP68 and IP69K protection ratings and MIL-STD-810H certification. These standards relate to protection against water and dust exposure and durability under specified testing conditions.

The phone is designed to offer waterproof protection under the conditions covered by its ratings. However, waterproof protection does not mean a device can withstand every type of water exposure indefinitely. Users should follow the manufacturer’s instructions and avoid charging the phone while it is wet.

The Cyber 18 features a 6.75-inch HD+ IN-CELL display with a resolution of 720 × 1600 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The large screen provides room for browsing, watching videos, reading and using social media applications. Its high refresh rate is designed to make scrolling and screen animations appear smoother.

The phone also includes a secondary touch display on the rear. This screen provides quick access to selected information and functions without always requiring users to interact with the main display.

The HOTWAV Cyber 18 runs Android 16 and is powered by a Unisoc T7250 octa-core processor.

The manufacturer’s listed configuration includes 8GB of physical RAM and up to 12GB of additional virtual RAM, giving an advertised combined memory capacity of up to 20GB. Virtual RAM uses internal storage and does not perform in exactly the same way as physical memory.

The device also offers 256GB of internal storage for applications, photos, videos and documents.

For photography, HOTWAV lists a 64MP main rear camera, a 20MP night-vision camera and a 16MP front camera. Actual camera results depend on lighting, software processing and shooting conditions.

The Cyber 18 comes with a 6,200mAh battery and supports 18W charging, according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

Its large battery capacity may appeal to people who spend long hours away from charging points. Actual battery life will depend on screen brightness, network conditions, applications and how the device is used.

Listed connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual Nano-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC, subject to the device configuration and local network compatibility.
