Ghanaian dancehall artiste Larruso has opened up about the challenges of working independently in the music industry, admitting that the journey can sometimes be frightening but the support of his fans keeps him motivated.

The musician explained that although pursuing his career without a major team can be challenging, the encouragement he receives from his supporters gives him the strength to keep pushing.

“Working alone is scary, but my fans keep me going,” Larruso said.

His comments highlight the pressure independent musicians often face as they work to produce music, promote their projects and build a strong connection with their audiences.

Without the backing of a large record label or an established team, artistes may have to take on several responsibilities themselves, from planning releases to marketing their songs and organising performances.

For Larruso, however, the support of his fans remains an important source of motivation as he continues to pursue his musical ambitions.

Larruso Names Davido for a Potential ‘Killy Killy’ Remix

The artiste has also indicated that Nigerian music star Davido would be his preferred collaborator if he were to remix his hit song “Killy Killy”.

Larruso’s choice points to his interest in working with a major African music star to give the song a new dimension and potentially reach a wider audience.

Davido, known for his influence in Afrobeats, has collaborated with several artistes across Africa and beyond.

However, Larruso’s comments do not necessarily mean that a remix has been confirmed or that a collaboration is already in progress.

Fans Remain Central to His Journey

Larruso’s remarks underline the role fans play in sustaining an artiste’s career, particularly when working independently.

Their streams, purchases, attendance at performances and engagement on social media can help musicians build visibility and maintain momentum.

For the Ghanaian dancehall artiste, that support appears to be a key reason he continues to push forward despite the challenges of working alone.

A potential “Killy Killy” remix featuring Davido would also generate interest among fans of both musicians, although any official release would depend on further confirmation from the artistes or their representatives.
